October meeting: Tamara Kate

Tamara Kate headshotOur October meeting, on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 7 – 9 p.m., will feature Canadian fabric and quilt designer Tamara Kate.  Her objective is “to create work that is fresh, joyous and youthful with a touch of whimsy”, so you will be treated to an uplifting experience. Her talk + trunk show is titled A Glimpse into the World of Fabric Design.

Flower quilt by Tamara KateThe meeting location is Toronto Botanical Garden, 777 Lawrence Ave. East (at Leslie) in the Floral Hall. Doors open at 6 p.m. Members are admitted free; guest fee is $15.

We have also engaged Tamara for three workshops. Details can be found here.

– Wednesday, Oct. 16 – Colour, Value and Half-Square Triangles
– Thursday, Oct. 17 – Embroidery for Today
